摘要
The contamination of fresh water by organic pollutants released from petroleum sludge was investigated. A diffusion model was proposed to predict the concentration of total organic pollutants with respect to water-sludge contacting time. Results indicated that all fresh water samples were polluted seriously after 12h contacting and the total organic pollutants quantified by chemical oxygen demands (CODs) were inverse proportional to the stability of sludge emulsion. The highest COD value was over 1000 mg/L after 48h of contact. The diffusion velocity of organic pollutants increased with the enlargement of water-sludge contact area.
