摘要
The effects of ozonated seawater on the corrosion behavior of iron and nickel based alloys are compared with the effects of aeration. General and localized corrosion rates are essentially unaffected by ozonation. Crevice corrosion, however, is greatly accelerated in ozonated seawater compared to aerated seawater for alloys low in chromium and or molybdenum. The crevice corrosion damage that is observed can be correlated with pit resistance equivalent numbers. (PREN's). PREN's of less than 50 lead to classical corrosion in acidified crevices, while PREN's in the range of 50 to 60 lead to stagnant boundary layer corrosion.
