摘要
A quad-band microstrip antenna is presented and experimentally studied for wireless local area network and the fourth generation mobile communication systems. The proposed antenna is fed by coaxial line and constructed by a slotted rectangular radiation patch. After the position of coaxial line is adjusted and an L-shaped slot is grooved around the edge of the patch, quad-band characteristic can be obtained at 1.94 GHz, 2.5 GHz, 3.1 GHz, and 3.4 GHz with bandwidth enough, and is suitable for frequency requirements above wireless systems. Antenna performances, influenced by the position of coaxial line, shape and size of the slot, are investigated by using electromagnetic simulation software. Experimental results are verified the properties of this design.
