OPERATIONAL TRANSFER PATH ANALYSIS FOR DRIVELINE BOOM NOISE REDUCTION

摘要
This work describes a case study of transfer path analysis for identifying major driveline noise paths, by estimating loads using operational data. One of the goals in this exercise was to be able to generate all the results of a traditional TPA in a reduced time frame, using a limited set of data. The results of operational path analysis are then validated with certain path modifications, as indicated in the analysis results. In this paper, various steps involved in the operational transfer path analysis are explained for a typical driveline boom noise issue. Results and measures based on TPA are also discussed with a case study. The paper concludes that this approach is quite effective for resolution of complex NVH problems, providing a good compromise between path accuracy and measurement time.
