摘要
Femoroacetabular impingement is a common cause of lesions within the hip joint. it consists of abnormal morphological features of the proximal femur and acetabulum, which produce pathological contact between the femoral neck and acetabular rim at certain positions within a normal range of motion. This conflict is responsible for damage to intra-articular structures, most commonly the acetabular labrum and the articular cartilage, and is known to predispose patients to early development of osteoarthritis. The treatment goal is to correct the underlying bony abnormalities and address the injured structures, providing relief from symptoms and restoration of function. As demonstrated, arthroscopic surgery is efficient in achieving those goals in a minimally invasive manner, with excellent early results and fast return to sports.
