摘要
Compared with smoke control system in Hong Kong, it is found that urban subway station of Chinese Mainland cannot prevent fire smoke from propagating to upper floors via escalators and staircases, due to the lower space which smoke capacity is limited and lower power of ventilation, so as to hinder personnel evacuate safely. In view of these, the authors developed a zoning smoke control method of dividing the subway station into several smoke-proof sections with moveable curtains. In case of a fire, the smoke extracted system is started only in fire section to prevent smoke from diffusing to other sections though volume of smoke exhausted is smaller, which provides whole station with a favorable safety evacuation and rescue condition. Furthermore, this mode is also propitious to lessening the danger caused by terrorist attacks such as poison gas.
