摘要
The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the vulnerability of public transport workers, with emphasis on those who work in the taxi modality in the Zona Metropolitana del Valle de Mexico (ZMVM), in the context of the health emergency caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is a documentary investigation, supported by official information relevant to the subject, and in databases that refer to labor dynamics in Mexico, such as the ENOE 2019 and the ETOE 2020, and about public transport in the ZMVM through the EOD 2017. It is concluded that, in the face of the pandemic, this type of worker presents a situation of vulnerability derived from the configuration of the work they do, which has intensified in the current situation. Despite the fact that public transport is considered an essential service, in this mode of transport safety is left as a personal matter, constituting a weak link in the social management of health security.
