摘要
Nanostructured products or products which were developed by means of nanotechnology already exist in the field of construction chemistry or construction materials. Main driving force in the conservative construction industry to invent or adopt new technologies is to reduce energy (CO2-footprint) during the construction process as well as during the utilization of buildings. Additional targets are increased service lifetimes of the constructions or new functionalities. E.g. photocatalytically active surfaces to reduce staining and increase air quality. The performance advantages of materials in the field of thermal insulation foams (nanofoams), nanocomposite colloidal particles (polymeric binders) and nanotechnologically improved inorganic binder systems have been investigated and will be discussed.
