A comparison of automated and manual screening: Theoretical considerations

摘要
Studies demonstrate that computer-assisted systems are effective in identifying cervical smears containing abnormal cells that were missed in conventional screening. The role of these devices in primary screening has not been extensively explored. Theoretical considerations related to the implementation of automated primary screening are explored in this review.
