摘要：
In order to improve the stability of passively Q-switched lasers we put forward a kind of pre-pumping mechanism(1). Based on this mechanism we deduce an analytical expression which can be used to calculate or optimize the important parameters of passively Q-switched lasers. The analytical expression has been discussed in detail and the results can also be used in many cases of passively Q-switched lasers.
