Consistent approximations to aircraft longitudinal modes

摘要：
The consistent zeroth- and first-order approximations to the longitudinal modes were derived. The approximations correctly computed all the coefficients of the characteristic polynomial to the appropriate order. Results showed the corrections to the literal approximations for the short period and phugoid modes were discovered.
