Image Edge Detection with a Memristive Grid: a Massive Parallel Approach

摘要
Image edge detection is a basic form of image processing that has been done by using an analog approach with the aid of nonlinear resistive grids. More recently, memristive grids have appeared as serious attempts to achieve edge detection. In this work, we resort to a specially tailored memristor grid that functions as a massive parallel analog processor for edge detection. The grid exhibits a remarkable performance for a set of benchmark images with the main merit figures and execution times.
