Model year climate data for the Klang Valley, Malaysia

摘要
The climatic data based on the Model Year concept is presented for the Klang Valley. A total of 21 years of data accumulated at the meteorological station in Subang, at the very centre of the Klang Valley, was used for the basis of the analysis. This type of data is more accurate than the normal 10-year or more average as the chosen data produced was taken from the measured data closest to the average value of all the data and with the least covariance. The climatic parameters considered in the analysis were solar irradiation, wet and dry bulb temperatures, sunshine hours, relative humidity, wind speed and direction. The model year data may be used for a varied range of applications from agriculture, building bioclimatics to solar thermal and photovoltaic technology.
