摘要
Two radars were developed for wireless indoor positioning applications, which are the double switched-beam CW radar and the switched-beam FMCW radar. They were designed based on different positioning methodologies for mitigating the electromagnetic multi-path effect in an indoor environment. The double switched-beam CW radar, based on the angulation method, determines the target two-dimensional (2D) coordinates with the angles of arrival detected by two separated interrogators. In contrast, the switched-beam FMCW radar determines the target coordinates with only one single interrogator, which is based on the combined angulation and lateration positioning method. The system design and performance are described in this paper.
