摘要：

To improve patient satisfaction, it is paramount to understand the role of perceptions, how perceptions can serve as proxies, and how they can be influenced through narration. The patient experience can be likened to a theater performance, and scripted phrases along with well-defined roles assigned to staffmembers can greatly enhance patients' experience and improve satisfaction ratings. Wait times are an important source of patient dissatisfaction and can be addressed with process mapping. © 2014 American College of Radiology.
