摘要
It is the objective of the proposed method to calculate and to minimize the risks of hydraulic failure of dams and to discover these risks at an early stage. A program has been developed to estimate hydraulic-hydro logic failure probabilities by means of the Monte-Carlo-Method, considering the three main components of freeboard design which are: 1. the flood inflow, inducing an elevated water level in the reservoir, 2. the wave generating wind, inducing wind set-up and wave run-up and 3. the initial water level, due to reservoir operation and preceeding events.
