The Institute of Natural Fibers has been carrying out complex research connected with application of natural dyes on fabrics. Colors of nature, obtained from various plants collection of clothes produced from linen fabrics. Natural sources of colour used in our study of colors were: Weld, Tumeric, Common knotweed, Dyers Corepsis, Corepsis, French marigold, Dyer's Camomile, Cuth, Henna, Madder, Indian madder, Logwood, Sappanwood, Indigo, Lac dye, Cochineal. Comprehensive research on linen and silk fabrics is conducted according to modem trends in looking for eco-products both comfortable and healthy. The tests proved their capabilities both in terms of color saturation, wide range of hues and fastness to sweat, washing and light. Eco - friendly naturally dyed linen and silk fabrics are a unique in Europe ecological product of the kind. The global trends in designed collections are more and more focused on clothing influence on human organism. Recently increasing health hazard caused by UV radiation forces clothing producers to pay attention to giving their products barrier properties that would guarantee protection against this harmful factor. A lot of linen fabrics dyed with natural dyes show these properties. Comfort and style are inextricably bound up with each other.
