摘要
From the point of view of the security, energy, trade policies and some other issues Ukraine is an important partner of the European Union. The EU is interested in the successful implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership. The main condition for the development and cooperation with the EU is sharing common values. Besides some success in a number of spheres, the level of democracy, law order and human rights turn out to take an unexpected, often the opposite direction in Ukraine. It seems like the political elite of Ukraine has lost the trust of the EU, that is why the future of the European integration of Ukraine is vague.
