From Lokal to Global: Development of Model Tourism Island based on Local Resources in Sumenep Regency, East Java']Java Indonesia

Studies on tourism in Indonesia have many models of development. Development models focus on the management of rural tourism, urban and natural wealth. Indonesia is an archipelago country has the potential to development model tourism island based local resources. Masalembu Islands and Masakambingin Sumenep Regency, East Java, Indonesia has the potential of tourism to be examined and developed. The potential of tourism resource development of local Islands as natural environment, people and culture has a hallmark of a multi-ethnic society. Residents live in Masalembu and Masakambingislandare Java, Madura, Bugis, Bajo and Mandar. The purpose of this study to uncover development models of tourism Islandsbased on localresources. Subjects studied are tourism community groups in the Masalembu and Masakambinglsland. Research methods for this study were descriptive qualitative participation, observation and interview. Results of the study model of the development of tourism based on local resource Islands are 1) Human resource potential, 2) Potential of nature and the environment, 3) Economic and technology are potential of creativity.
