摘要
The Wampar are a tribe with Austronesian language in the Morobe Province of Papua New Guinea. Their first contacts with the white man were around 1900. In 1911, a station of the Lutheran mission was founded. The author performed several researches among them between 1958 and 2009. Several former students of him did also research among them. The article analyses the concepts of the Wampar of themselves, other tribes and nations: their looks, the areas in which they live, language and mode of living. Their concepts have changed and are changing with the modernization of their life.
