摘要：
The role of catalysis in energy is important during conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy and/ or heat. Applications of catalytic combustion with and without cogeneration of heat and electricity will be discussed first. The direct conversion of chemical energy into electricity in fuel cell will be considered after, mainly for the case of low temperature fuel cells.
