Eu3+ iluminescence in BiSr2V3O11 - A potential red phosphor?

摘要：
In an attempt to find an inexpensive red phosphor system for lamp applications, luminescence of Eu3+, a new BiSr2V3O11 host is reported. The luminescence features are very much similar to that observed in Y2O3:Eu3+, the red phosphor used in the lighting industry. This new bismuth strontium vanadate:Eu3+ system appears to have potential for application in lamps and as a red laser material.
