摘要
Based on object-based storage (OBS), we propose the design of a new WEBGIS architecture. We describe the improvements of the management and share of mass spatial information, as well as performance comparison with traditional Storage Technology. Object-Based Storage has the advantages of scalability, native security and dynamic reconfiguration. Integrated Object-Based Storage technology, WEBGIS could provide high scalability and native security. Furthermore, with the unified abstract object interface and intelligent OSD, both WEBGIS and the storage device get more intelligence that facilitate not only the management and share of mass spatial information, but also various GIS applications.
