摘要：
Presented are new developments over recent years for blood pressure meters for self-measurement, which increase the accuracy of measurement, improve the handling of instruments, reduce discomfort during the measurement, make the instrument more compact and easier to transport. Special attention is focused on new developments which can eliminate measurement errors, especially in the elderly.
