摘要
Polyaniline and polypyrrole have been recognized as intrinsic conducting polymers employed for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. This novel review highlights progress in EMI shielding materials-based on polyaniline and polypyrrole matrices with carbonaceous nanoparticles. The polyaniline or polypyrrole nanocomposites with graphene, carbon nanotube, and carbon black have been designed. These nanocomposites have exceptional structural, electrical conductivity, and EMI shielding effectiveness characteristics. Electrically conducting polyaniline/nanocarbon and polyaniline/nanocarbon nanocomposites have capability to efficiently shield underlying materials from incoming waves through absorbing/dissipating electromagnetic radiations. The electrical conductivity and shielding performance have been found dependent on nanocarbon dispersion and percolating network formation for electron conduction.
