摘要
Self-injurious behaviour can be understood as a strategy to cope with distress resulting from psychiatric disorders or adverse social conditions. By means of cognitive-behavioural terms, a vulnerability-stress model is formulated that illustrates the relationship between antecedents, triggers and the self-injury as a stress reaction. A checklist for self-injurious behaviour will be introduced derived from this model.
