Scenarios and implications of ambivalence experienced by hotel managers

摘要
This article deals with the situations of ambivalence of power experienced by managers of a luxury hotel in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. We adopted the method of Ergonomic Work Analysis (EWA), in which searches were conducted literature and documents, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with managers and made observations of their activities. The objective is understand the relationship between the situations of ambivalence power, occupational health and organizational performance. It can be concluded that the ambivalence of power are part of everyday activity working hotel managers, causing them physical and mental, which can compromise the occupational health and organizational performance.
