AN earlier article discussed the diagnosis and treatment of two common oral cavity problems in cats, periodontal disease and the chronic lymphoplasmacytic gingivitis stomatitis complex of diseases (In Practice, April 1998, pp 171-179). This article discusses the aetiology, classification and treatment of the so-called feline odontoclastic resorptive lesion (FORL) or 'neck lesion' - a phenomenon that the veterinary world has become increasingly aware of over the past 20 years.
