Transmission of data on analog speech channel by spread spectrum modulation

摘要：
Sometimes it is requested to transmit data together with speech signal through a telephone channel. This paper proposes that low bit-rate of digital data are spread over on speech signal and transmit them through an analog telephone channel. Tn this method, speech signal is noise against data and SS signal is perceived as noise for speech. Direct sequence modulation is employed for data transmission. Data rate of 22 bps is achieved at the BER of 10(-3) when they are not almost perceived.
