摘要：
This paper deals with the analysis of relevant factors and their influence on market relations between the roundwood suppliers and buyers in the Slovak Republic. Transformation period, open market economy environment and changing ownership structure resulted in changes of supply chain. Moreover, changes in market relations in forestry-wood chain are determined by globalisation trends, social and environmental issues as well as new possibilities of use of wood material. Mentioned factors can be viewed as main driving forces affecting efficiency of supply chain, therefore their development and current status is examined in the paper.
