摘要
Battery energy storage system (BESS) plays an important role in smoothing out highly intermittent source power fluctuations. With the improvement of the accuracy of the ultra short term wind power forecasting, a novel dynamic optimal control strategy for BESS based on the wind power forecasting is proposed aiming at wind power fluctuations smoothing. Taking switching times of the charge and discharge, state of charge (SOC) and over-charging and over-discharging into consideration, the operating principle is built based on the wind power information in advance, aiming to minimize the offset of SOC as well as consider the performance of the energy storage media to get the optimal control model for the next control step, which result in a progressive control principle. The proposed method is verified by the operation data from actual wind farm, which can achieve the effectively control of BESS and have the practical application value.
