摘要
The overall health of the Willamette River is slightly better than marginal. The health of the river in the future depends on action taken today: it can be maintained or improved with active effort, or it can be allowed to decline. That picture emerged from the Willamette River Basin Water Quality Study. The five-year study adapted established study methods and water quality models to a major river system. It was funded and carried out by a combination of agencies and stakeholders.
