摘要
There is plentiful evidence that genetic factors have an important part to play in the etiology of polycystic ovary syndrome. As yet, however, none of the potential candidate loci have withstood the scrutiny of large case-control studies, although studies of a locus-close to the insulin receptor gene on chromosome 1.9p are emerging as promising.
