摘要
A glass ceramic material from the system SiO2-Al2O3-K2O-CaO-P2O5-F which is used for restorative dental applications is subject of common efforts of the members of the Technical Committee 7 of the International Commission on Glass. Both surface and volume crystallization can he observed during heat treatment of the powdered and sintered base glass. Optical microscopy (Zeiss: Jenaplan), X-ray diffraction (Siemens: D5000), field emission scanning electron microscopy (Hitachi: S4100), and transmission electron microscopy/ electron diffraction (Hitachi, H8100) were used to characterize the phase content of the glass ceramic material.
