摘要
Water safety plans (WSPs) are promoted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as the most effective method for ensuring safe drinking water. As a minimum, WSPs require of the drinking-water 'supplier' (1) a system assessment, (2) effective operational monitoring, and (3) management. Whilst WSPs are currently being developed and implemented throughout the high- and middle-income world they are only just being introduced ill low-income Countries. Developing WSPs in the context of disasters in rural and peri-urban areas of low-income Countries presents particular challenges. This paper Outlines some of these challenges.
