摘要
Thermal pyrolysis of waste engine oil (WEO) yielded maximum of 76.73% oil at 550 degrees C. The pyrolytic oil was characterized and blended with diesel at different volume %. The effect of blending of pyrolytic oil in diesel was studied on the basis of the fuel properties and composition. The optimum blending condition was selected as per their calorific value. The highest calorific value of the blended oil was obtained at 20% blending. The variations in the viscosity, flash point and density were also observed. The composition of blended oil and diesel was compared by using GC-MS and FTIR analysis. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
