摘要：

A review of the investigations done in the field of light alloys, at the All-Union Institute of Light Alloys was presented. The investigations included nondendritic crystallization of light alloys, aluminum alloys alloyed with scandium, and improving the purity of aluminum alloys. Significant developments were made in the development and production of magnesium alloys.
