A Case Study of Curriculum Revision for Cultivation of Engineering-oriented Undergraduate in Computer Science

摘要
Previous research showed that the curriculum development of computer science is a changing challenge for educators. This paper deals with the curriculum revision of undergraduate in higher education. Being an application-based university, its educational goal of computer science major is to cultivate advanced engineering technical talents in this domain. Centering on this idea, the new curriculum revision has been carried out in recent years. This paper illustrates the process of courses setup including theory and practice course knowledge systems. Based on these courses the author discusses the ability training model in detail, aiming at presenting a case study for training engineering-oriented talents. The results indicate that this new curriculum is working very well in both specialty construction and talent cultivation.
