摘要
The authors describe the synthesis and characterization of two different five-member heterocycle derivatives (thiazole and thiadiazole) by several organic procedures. These compounds were characterized by FTIR, H-1 NMR, and elemental analyses. Also, the authors attempt to study the inhibition effects of these derivatives to the corrosion of copper in nitric acid media by weight loss technique. The temperature factor affecting the inhibition efficiency of these derivatives is discussed. Also, the inhibition efficiency depended on the changing substituents on the molecules. It was found from the results that the thiadiazole inhibitors have inhibition efficiency more than thiazole inhibitors.
