摘要
In the oxidative annealing of iron-ore pellets, borate ore, in contrast to pure boric oxide, is not a source of pellet-strengthening melt. The positive influence of boron is only seen in liquid-phase sintering when the boron-bearing ore minerals are assimilated by the batch silicate melt. In the case of low-temperature annealing, with no melt in the pellets, the introduction of borate ore in the batch does not have a positive influence on the metallurgical properties of the pellets produced.
