摘要
Antennas suitable for existing and new vehicular communications and positioning systems are increasingly glass mounted or concealed behind plastic panels. This paper will discuss the issues concerning the design of this type of antenna and the effect the vehicle structure has on the antenna performance. Results of recent modelling work will be presented and the issue of suitable CAD software Will be raised. The connection of this work to the development of future vehicle telematics systems will be drawn upon.
