摘要
The discipline of informatics is changing drastically. Java, the World Wide Web, and other new developments in software and hardware have introduced a new computing paradigm computation as interaction with a dynamic environment, as opposed to computation as calculation of the traditional informatics. To promote the new paradigm, conventional learning methods are inadequate. Radical changes in the way we teach informatics are needed. This paper describes a framework motivated by principles found in the constructivist epistemology for rethinking the education of informatics in a way that is much closer to the new computing paradigm.
