摘要
The interest in sustainable industrial processes is constantly growing. An important element needed for the realisation of economically, technologically and socially acceptable industrial projects is possibility to evaluate their sustainability. One of three main elements of sustainability, social aspect, is especially difficult for the assessment. The research on quantitative indicators of social sustainability is still in this infancy. The objective of this work is to introduce a set of quantitative indicators of social sustainability for assessment of wastewater treatment processes. The proposed indicators are used to evaluate the various aspects of social sustainability; social capital, social equity, and social peace. Their applicability has been assessed by using data from several wastewater treatment plants.
