摘要
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) fill the gap between office planning and shop floor control (SFC) and make it possible to have a real-time facility-wide view of critical processes and product data that are necessary for office decision-making and optimal factory manufacturing executions. In order to meet customers' preferences and changing market demands, how to improve the flexibility and agility of MES becomes extremely crucial. This paper presents an integrated approach for reconfigurable manufacturing systems design, which improve the scalability of MES in terms of providing real-time responses in large-scale computer-integrated manufacturing systems.
