摘要
In this paper a practical problem naming Hydro-Thermal Unit Commitment co-ordination (HTUC) system is solved in Mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP) environment. The mentioned problem considered is not only non-linear in nature but non-convex also. For this reason, it is highly complicated to model the problem in MINLP environment. In addition to this various limitations regarding HTUC is also incorporated in the system which in turn increases system complexity even further. Even with such inconvenience due to recent advancement of branch and bound method, MINLP did provide satisfactory solution for such a problem. For this purpose BONMIN solver is utilized. The performance of the proposed algorithm is experimented on three short term multi reservoirs cascaded hydrothermal systems. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed algorithm as compared to other recently reported ones in terms of convergence and better quality of solutions.
