摘要
Bimetallic Ni-Mo sulfide Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by impregnation (IMPR), mechanical (MECH) and organic matrix combustion (OMXC) methods. The prepared catalysts were characterized by nitrogen physisorption, X-ray diffraction, electron probe microanalysis, and Raman Spectroscopy. The samples were sulfided and their activity in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of thiophenes at a pressure of I atm and a temperature of 350 degrees C was tested. It was found with Ni-Mo that the catalyst prepared by the OMXC method is more active (by upto 57%) as compared with the corresponding catalysts prepared by (MECH) and conventional impregnation methods.
