摘要
From a definition of teacher burnout, with reference to Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, this paper identifies and explores the factors related to the job burnout of English teachers in Chinese universities. It concludes that too much workload, a lack of a sense of accomplishment, a lack of support and macro guide are main factors contributing to burnout of the English teachers in Chinese universities and countermeasures should be taken respectively.
