摘要
A method for development of the pedotransfer functions-the regression relationships between several points on the water retention curve (WRC) and traditional soil properties (texture, bulk density, and aggregate density)-is suggested. Soil-hydrological and physical-mechanical constants determined from the WRC (by the Voronin method) were used as these points. Several approaches to the determination of pedotransfer functions and their use in prognostic mathematical models are analyzed on the basis of the database on soil physical properties and functions that was created at the Faculty of Soil Science, Moscow State University.
