摘要：
The text explores what specific requirements digital long-term archiving implies on image data. Not every digital image is worthy of being archived in situ, simply because its format is classified as 'worthy of archiving'. Rather, it is about qualitative characteristics, which can be measured in order to verify the required archive quality beyond doubt, transparently and comprehensibly. This in the present as well as in the future.
