摘要
The Hospital Santa Clara at Bogota, in conjunction with some universities, by means of its research center, is attempting to generate knowledge in the areas of critical-and-hospital care. The study of critical cases is important in knowledge generation and this demands making use of the clinical-record summary from the Unit of Critical Care (UCI) as its main source. The large amount of consultations generated by users of the services at the Hospital Santa Clara and the necessity to have on-hand, real-time clinical records of the patients who come on a daily basis made it necessary to have a security architecture that guarantees information confidentiality. On the other hand, the study of cases of pneumonia in the unit of intensive care at the Hospital Santa Clara in Bogota-Colombia has given important results in the control of respiratory diseases. The hospital lacked a system to facilitate decision-making and also the remote (distant places) monitoring of patients who have been categorized as observation cases by several specialists throuht a specialized portal for the study of pneumonia with a research approach where services of health around the effective regulations will be integrated on its infrastructure for telemedicine with a secure architecture for management clinical records.
